Cupcake crazy!!!

Hi everyone,

Wanted to share with you all my new passion... Cupcakes!!

I got some money given to me at Christmas do decided to go to a cupcake class which was amazing. I was in my element and got totally lost in it all. I have been making cakes every night since the class on Friday and taking them into work for them to be my guinea pigs! I already have some orders and will be making them for a charity cake sale on valentines week!

I have not been in my craft room for well over a year now, due to various reasons. I am moving over the next couple of weeks and got into my craft room to clear it out and realised how much I miss it all!! Happy Saturday everyone!

A good friend of mine in work had some bad news during the week. I really felt for her as she is usually a very strong, happy, bubbly girl and the news she got knocked her for six!

This is a card I made for her using my SU stash...

This is the verse I put inside:

It will be the little things

that you will remember,

the quiet moments,

the smiles, the laughter.

And although it may seem

hard right now,

it will be the memories

of these little things

that help to push

away the pain

and bring the smiles

back again.

She loved the card!!!

Anyone for Anya?

Lots of Layers....

....Is this weeks challenge over on Anyone for Anya. I never thought I could enter these challenges as I don't have any Anya stamps much to my dissapointment!! But I saw on the wonderful Dawnys blog that you can now enter with CC Designs stamps which I bought very recently!

I also saw on Dawnys blog her sketchs which she has to help anyone with inspiration! I used one of these for my card....

I hope you like, I am still practising with my copics and throw away many images everyday because they don't 'look right' I think I am getting better with practise though. I also tried to colour with coloursoft pencils and sansador yesterday as I see it on peoples blogs and it looks lovely, but I just can't seem to get on with it. Just need more practise I think!

Hope you are all enjoying your bank holiday Monday, the weather here is sunny one minute and raining the next!!! Not good but still enjoying my day!

Well I am feeling very sorry for myself today as have been to the hospital to be prodded and poked loads!! They stuck a needle in my neck too which was awful, so painful and I was a complete woos as I was on my own!!! lol

Hen Weekend Invites

Well I have been very busy over the past week making my best friends hen weekend invitations. We are all off to Butlins in Skegness for a school reunion weekend. I wanted to make the invites more 'schooly' but that idea didn't go down very well, so we compromised. The theme of the Friday night is 'Pink' so I have made the invites with those colours, but you will see on the black layer I have written in white so it looks (hopefully) like a blackboard!

Both of these projects were made using the bold brights range from Stampin Up! which is a colour range I don't often use, but I love them!!!!

Happy Valentines Day everyone!!!!

I hope you are all having a fabulous time!

I wanted to share with you what a wonderful weekend I have had, I travelled to Pudsey, Leeds to see my Stampin Up mum (Julie) to attend one of her world famous classes. I was so excited as it meant meeting up with lots of good friends! Myself and my downline Nikki travelled there yesterday morning at 6am!! AGGGGHHHH! We had our all day class which was fabulous, although most of us were too busy talking to make any cards!! lol Then last night we went out for dinner which was lovely. Here are some of the piccies I took, sorry for such a long post!!

My Shoe Box Project

Hi guys,

Well I promised to be back to show you all of the fabulous shoe box cards that we made, so thought I would start with showing you what card I made....

The pictures don't really do this card any justice, it is really glittery!!

I have used the gorgeous 'Wondrous Gift' set which is still available in our new catty woohoo! I love this set and it is a bargain for £19.95 for a set of 6 stamps, the tree is really gorgeous and big and looks good just stamped in a colour or for a bit more pazzazz add a bit of glitter!

The papers I have used were 'Ski Slope' which were in the mini catalogue. Unfortunately they are not available anymore but we have an even better christmas paper set in the new catty called 'Merry Moments' which is only £7.75 for 12 double sided sheets!!

Jems Weekend Away!!!

Well I have been away on a fabulous weekend with all my fellow Jems!!

We went to a place called 'Little Rissington' and stayed in the most beautiful house. We did not set foot outside the house from Friday to Sunday!!

I have stolen this fab piccie from the lovely Marlene (hope you don't mind hun)

From left to right are:

Nikki and I arrived on Friday night after having a nightmare journey on the M25! I bought some cupcakes for all of my lovely ladies to enjoy but unfortunately they took a little bit of a battering on the journey! lol

That didn't seem to stop people enjoying them!

On Saturday we did a Shoebox Swap which is where we all made a sample card, then 10 kits to make that card. We put all of the equipment with kits in a box and passed it around the table to take turns making each project. I will upload all of the wonderful projects over the next few days.

It was my wonderful (Stampin Up 'mum') Julie that organised this weekend and I just wanted to say another big thank you as I enjoyed it so much! When we arrived the gorgeous Jules and Sarah-Jane had left us beautiful gifts on our pillows!

Sarah-Janes gift - Sarah did have her goodies packed up in a gorgeous gift bag which I meant to take a piccie of but couldn't wait to open!!

Yesterday's class....

Well yesterday was our 'Tart & Tangy' class and I had 7 wonderful ladies attend including my beautiful mum and gorgeous godmother! The class was fantastic and we had a wonderful time. Everyone made fantastic cards and a wonderful 3d project. Even the ladies who had never made 3d projects before!!

My godmother also made beautiful homemade scones with clotted cream and jam!! Yummy!!!

Shoe Box Swap

Well yesterday I attended a 'Show Box Swap' this is where a number of people meet up and all bring a project with them. They make packs as if holding a class for the amount of people attending and put everything needed to make the project in a box. You then take it in turns to move around to each project and make it!

The wonderful Shaz held this Shoe Box Swap and I had a brilliant time. It was a lovely day and so we crafted out in the garden all day! We had a yummy lunch with lots of goodies!! yum yum!

Here is a piccie of all of us lovely ladies crafting apart from the gorgeous Steph who is taking the piccie :o(

Here is the project I made for the swap. It was very boring compared to the rest of the fantastic projects there were but at least it was simple and people could refresh their batteries doing it!!lol

For Father Class

Well a couple of weeks ago I held a 'For Father' class which was a week before Fathers Day. I had 6 lovely ladies attend and this is what they made! (Sorry about bad pic)

We really enjoyed this class and I have had wonderful feedback and comments from people who have received the cards from the ladies themselves!!!

Birthday Card

Hi guys,

This is a card I have made for one of my good friends as it is her birthday today!

I have used the Cheers to You stamp set which is such a versatile set I absolutely love it. My friend loves her cocktails so I hope she loves this card. All in all this card took me about 5 mins to make. I have stamped the background in the three main colours of Rose Red, Bashful Blue and Apricot Appeal!

There is a wonderful lady called Angie Kennedy who is in the US. Angie is a very successful Stampin' Up Demonstrator and I get a lot of my inspiration from her projects. This is one I thought I would try today....

Well I thought I better show you whats in store for those of you attending my For Father Class on the 13th June. This is card 1 of 4 that we will be making on the day. Jem's Challenge!

Hi guys,

Sorry it has taken me so long to post this piccie but I have been having a nightmare with computer since last week and Internet etc. It has driven me mad!!

Anyway, now that hopefully I am back up and running, I wanted to post my version of this months Jem's Challenge. My stampin up 'family' have a challenge every month that we send each other exactly the same kit and all post what we have made at a certain time on a certain date! This months kit was produced by the wonderful Sarah, who is the queen of 3d projects and here is what I came up with....

I have had a wonderful weekend, went to an all day class at the wonderful Sugar & Spice in Billericay on Saturday! Then lots of family stuff!!!

Stamp With Us 2nd Challenge!

Well for anyone who didn't know, I won a colour challenge on the fabulous Stamp With Us blog. The team have just kicked off with their wonderful online classes, which I won!! FOR FREE!!! Jems Challenge...

Hi guys, every couple of weeks I get together 'virtually' with all of my Stampin Up family and we make challange cards! This is a challenge card that has just been set by the lovely Julie!

The challenge is MAKE YOURSELF AT HOME

I found this really difficult, although I made in about 15 minutes!! I have used the brown paper as that sort of reminded me of my living room wallpaper! lol

I have made this card using the wonderful 'Love Stories' scrappin kit! Its a wonderful colour combination and has the most beautiful self adhesive die cuts!

I have also used the Circle of Friendship stamp set with of course my gorgeous scallop circle and circle punches! I don't know how I ever crafted without them!!

I really enjoyed making this card and used some of my gorgeous new papers I got on the weekend!

The card was for a friend of mine to give to her sister, I gave it to her today and she loved it! She was showing it to everyone in the office, which is lovely to see.

The ribbon is Certainly Celery Grosgrain Ribbon. The card stock is all soft subtles. The paper is from the Certainly Celery DP.
I have sponged some ink on to the white card stock and also glittered the flowers.

2 challenges in1...

This week has been a complete nightmare so far! Our computer decided it wanted to stop working on Monday, poor Chris came home last night from work after researching what the problem was and eventually fixed it. I couldn't believe how horrible it was not being able to connect to the Internet for 1 whole day! Silly really isn't it! Had to go on Fire Marshall training yesterday too so was very depressed last night with some of the things they showed us. I will not go in to detail as some of it was sickening!! Anyway enough of me rambling on!

This card is actually going to be entered in to 2 challenges today. The first is the BasicGrey Challenge which is to produce a card using the below sketch for inspiration.

This is my card...the papers are BasicGrey

I am also going to enter this one in to the CCEE Stampers Challenge which is to make a card that is 'Knight' related.

The items used are BasicGrey Papers along with some new papers from My Minds Eye which are gorgeous! The image is a Whiff of Joy stamp from their new Medieval range. The sentiment and ribbon are both Stampin' Up! I have coloured the image using Whispers markers with my Stampin' Up! water brush which is the best!!

My new order from Stampin' Up! has just arrived with all of my new mini goodies! I am off to play!! See you later xxx

A Spoon Full of Sugar

This weeks challenge was 'Torn Edges'. It was quite difficult at first, ended up ripping lots of paper up!! This is what I came up with in the end....

The image is from the 'Fun & Fast Notes stamp set by Stampin' Up! The ribbon is the 'Preety in Pink' Taffeta Ribbon from Stampin' Up! I cannot remember where the backing paper is from as it was old stuff I had! The image has been stamped in Pretty in Pink.

I am being slightly cheeky and also entering this is to the Penny Black Saturday Challenge which this week was a recipe. You had to use 3 brads, 2 ribbons and 1 flower on your card.

The card stock is all Stampin' Up! Soft Subtles. The DP is from 'Love Stories' which is my favourite set of all time. You get so much for the price. 12x12 beautiful patterned papers, 12 x 12 card stock in the most gorgeous colours, plus so many stickers and embellishments! Contact me for more details. The green ribbon is Certainly Celery grosgrain. The blue is Bashful Blue Double Stitched both from Stampin' Up!

Well this weeks challenge is to use the below picture as inspiration for a card!

Here is my card....

I absolutely loved this challenge and found it really simple to do. I made this card in about 10 minutes! I love the colours. The stamped images are from a beautiful Laura Ashley set that the gorgeous Steph sent me for my birthday. This is a thank you card that I will be sending to Steph next week! The images are coloured in using my Stampin Write markers in Soft Subtles. I have then embossed some of the flower heads. The sentiment is from the fab Clare Curd's new range of stamps! I love them and cannot wait to get time to make some more cards!

Anyway I have rambled on slightly. This challenge is also my entry to become a member Design Team for the fabulous challenge blog, check it out here....

Challenge 48 - Going For Gold!

I have really gone to town on the challenge this week!! lol I think it has turned out quite well though!

Stamps are from the Stampin' Up! 'Pocket Silhouettes' Set which is one of my favourite sets. I have embossed in gold. I have also sponged all of the edges of cardstock with gold!
